Brief Description: Park brake valve and brake line installation
My brother Bernie came to help out as usual. First we designed and fabricated a bracket for the park brake valve control cable attachment. We then riveted the bracket to the firewall and bolted the park brake valve to it. Then we fabricated brake lines that run between the firewall brake line bracket and the park brake valve. We also designed, fabricated and installed a support bracket to clamp the brake lines to a firewall angle. Lastly we installed the brake fluid reservoir T fitting on the reservoir, the elbow fittings on the brake cylinders and ran all the brake lines which included adjusting the length of the brake lines that run from the left brake cylinders to the park brake valve as these were too long as supplied in the kit due to the basic design not incorporating a park brake valve.
